Where to Stay

Make time for a morning stop at Companion while you're in Santa Cruz, we never skip it. And whatever you do, order the Kouign Amann and have them warm it up. It's worth it.

If you are in Capitola, head to Mr. Toots for a great cup of coffee overlooking the ocean.

Mr Toots Coffeehouse

A simple, delicious breakfast spot we love. We'll be gathering here for our post-wedding brunch on Sunday, 5/30, so feel free to join us if you'd like to wait and celebrate together!

The Farm Bakery Cafe & Gifts

If you awake on Saturday morning and looking for something to do after hitting Companion, just a couple minutes down the road is the Aptos Farmers Market. Great snacks and artisanal products.

Aptos Farmers Market at Cabrillo College

A world-famous Santa Cruz tradition and fun for the whole family. Ride the roller coasters, play a round of mini golf, hit the arcade, and enjoy it all just steps from the beach.

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Home to Mr. Toots, Capitola Beach is a good stop for a more relaxed afternoon. With plenty shopping, restaurants, bars and ocean views, Capitola is certainly worth a visit.

For a more formal dining experience, Shadowbrook Restaurant is a local favorite. Known for its beautiful setting, unique atmosphere, and charming hillside elevator ride, it offers a dining experience that feels distinctly Capitola.

For a casual, quintessentially Santa Cruz meal, Pizza My Heart is hard to beat. This local favorite has been serving up classic pizza and beach-town charm for decades.

For and evening walk, Downtown Santa Cruz has it all. Live music on random street corners, bookstores, sweet treats, bars and restaurants.

This last one is a little bit of a stretch, but if you have already come all this way it would be a shame to not head up the coast for a 45 minute drive to Carmel-By-The-Sea. This walkable fairytale village is home to renowned restaurants, art and shopping.
